Template Organizer




If you are in the web design or development business and create or work with a variety of templates it is recommended you try a template organizer. A template is basically a framework that can be used to build web sites or create documents. For example you may have a site template that includes the basic layout like header and sidebar. Or, you may have templates like those for resumes, letters and other office documents. While it is imperative to organize your files it may not be necessary to purchase a product to do so. There are free ways to keep track of your computer files that are just as effective.

It is easy to organize all your templates by creating files on your hard drive. These files can be folders in which you place templates according to characteristics. For example you might place all your template documents in one folder. Or, you may choose to separate them by what they are, such as one folder for resumes, one folder for business letter templates, one folder for memos, etc. You can do the same for your web page templates. If you have templates that are certain colors or themes, by all means group them that way.

On the subject of such an organizer you should also know there are printable templates for bill and personal organization that can be found online or created with word processing software. You can print these templates out, then use them for your purposes. It is recommended that when printing template pages you save a copy to your hard drive and a blank paper copy in case you need duplicates. With paper templates you can make your own organizational workbook.

The right template organizer system can make your life a lot easier. You won't have to hunt down a particular document or file because everything is easy to find. When naming your files you may also want to choose a name that is descriptive enough that you'll know exactly what the file is. There are many strategies and tips you can implement to organize both your computer files and the rest of your life. For example some of the templates you find may be used to keep track of your bills, payments and more.
